Your letters, your business

A short, plain-English explanation of how this site handles your data. (Spoiler: there isn't much to handle.)

The short version

We don't collect, log, sell, or share any personal information. The Word Unscrambler runs entirely in your browser. The letters you type never leave your device, because there's no server to send them to.

What this site does

When you load the page, your browser downloads the HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a separate dictionary file. From that point forward, every search you run is computed locally on your own device. No requests go back to us with the letters you typed or the words you found.

What we don't do

  • No analytics tracking. No Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no third-party trackers.
  • No advertising cookies. We don't run ads, so we have no need for ad cookies.
  • No user accounts. Nothing to sign up for. Nothing to forget the password to.
  • No data sales. We have no data to sell — and even if we did, we wouldn't.
  • No fingerprinting. We don't collect device, browser, or behavioral signals.

The contact form

If you fill out the contact form, you're voluntarily sending us your name, email address, and message. We use that information for one purpose: to reply to you. We don't add you to any mailing list, share your details with third parties, or use the message for any purpose other than answering it.

The CAPTCHA on the contact form is a simple math question generated locally in your browser — it's there to deter automated spam bots. It doesn't track you, doesn't talk to any third party, and doesn't store anything.

Cookies & local storage

This site does not set any cookies. We may use a small amount of local storage in your browser to remember your filter preferences across visits — but only if your browser allows it. You can clear local storage at any time through your browser settings, and the site will still work normally.

Children's privacy

This service is appropriate for general audiences, including children. We don't knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, regardless of age.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the site handles data, we'll update this page and note the date below. We have no plans to start collecting data, but if that ever changes, you'll find the details here first.
